# Week 3: Focus

> 30-Day Capture and Share Challenge — Week 3: Publish for 7 days in a row to test market demand, guide readers back to your website, and listen to feedback.

After refining your idea seeds in Week 2, Week 3 is the **Focus** stage. This is when you bring your seeds out into the open to test market demand. Instead of keeping ideas hidden on your computer, your main goal this week is to **publish for 7 days in a row**, use one single link back to your website, and listen to reader feedback to pinpoint the winning digital product for Week 4.

## 1. Publish to test market demand

Many people hesitate to publish because they fear their writing is not perfect or worry about judgment. You need to see publishing for what it really is:

* **Each post is a market test:** Do not rush to build a large digital product before anyone knows who you are. Publish short posts of 250 to 350 words (explore storytelling patterns in [how to publish a post](/docs/publish-a-post)) to see if readers actually care. If a post gets thoughtful comments and questions, that confirms the problem is real and worth packaging into a product.
* **Value deep feedback over vanity likes:** Likes are just surface numbers. Real value comes from detailed questions and specific struggles readers share in comments or direct messages. That is the raw data you need to shape your product.
* **Keep a steady pace like a playful walk:** Do not stress about getting thousands of impressions. Publish consistently every day as a natural habit, then enjoy a clear mind.

## 2. Three-step workflow to publish and link back to your website

Social media is only the initial handshake. Your personal website is the independent digital asset that builds your long-term reputation:

<Steps>
  <Step title="Pick a seed and finalize your draft">
    Open an idea seed from Week 2. Review the 3 to 5 factual bullet points in the child node, then check your draft in the attachment field (250 to 350 words). Make sure the post speaks directly to 1 specific reader problem based on the [Content Topics](/docs/content-topics) selected in Week 0.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Post on social media with an invite for full notes">
    Share your post on your personal profile or a relevant community. At the end, add an easy invitation: *"If you want the full step-by-step checklist, I left the complete guide on my website below."*
  </Step>

  <Step title="Drop exactly 1 link leading to your website">
    Leave 1 single link (in the first comment or at the bottom of your post) pointing straight to the corresponding article on your personal website.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Tip>
  **Link strategy tip:** Use only 1 link leading back to your own website. Do not scatter links across multiple platforms. This keeps your audience focused on your central home on the internet.
</Tip>

## 3. Listen to and resolve 6 reader mindsets

As you publish, readers will react in different ways. Listen closely so you can answer their hurdles in upcoming posts:

| Reader Reaction | Underlying Mindset | How to Address in Your Next Post |
| :- | :- | :- |
| **Unaware** | Does not see how this relates to them | Write about an everyday friction point they experience regularly. |
| **Skeptical** | Worries your method will not work | Share concrete proof, real numbers, or personal case studies. |
| **Confused** | Finds the explanation too technical | Simplify your words into 3 clear steps with real-world examples. |
| **Price resistance** | Does not see the return on investment | Explain opportunity cost: stumbling through trial and error costs far more time and money. |
| **Hesitant** | Lacks a sense of urgency | Point out the cost of delay: waiting another year leaves them stuck in the exact same spot. |
| **Comparing** | Weighing options against competitors | Highlight your lean workflow, personal lessons, and practical approach. |

## 4. Log audience feedback into your seed in Digital Brain

Do not let valuable comments get lost in fast-moving social feeds:

<Steps>
  <Step title="Reopen your seed in Digital Brain">
    Go to your Intake Bin or Today page, and open the exact seed you published that day.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Log into the Attachment field as a dedicated node">
    Open the **Attachment** field of your seed and create a dedicated child node (such as *Audience Feedback*) to capture thoughtful questions, points of confusion, or helpful suggestions from readers.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Tag your winning seed">
    After 7 days, compare all published posts: which seed got the most positive comments, requests for full notes, or purchase questions? Tag this winning seed so you can package it into a digital product in Week 4.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Warning>
  **Avoid the engagement trap:** Do not call a post a success just because it got lots of likes. Choose the seed where people asked deep questions about your solution and expressed a genuine desire for your help.
</Warning>
