# How to Package

> Turn raw seed ideas into accurate core assets and modular drafts ready for the Share Station to generate real business revenue.

At the Capture Station, you extracted a **Seed Idea in the Capturing state** (review [How to Capture](/docs/how-to-capture) if you don't have a seed idea yet). If you stop there, the idea remains raw and unusable. This is when you step into the **Package Station** to research, outline, and shape it into a customer-ready solution. If you want to understand the deeper pruning philosophy, read the [Package Station Principles](/docs/package).

Your primary goal at the Package Station is to finalize the content and move the seed into the **Sharing state**.

This guide gives you a **3-step workflow: Outline ➔ Expand ➔ Create Deliverables**. Completing these three steps will produce an authoritative **Core Asset** and flexible **Creative Nodes**, automatically sending the seed into the Share Station.

***

## Preparation Before Packaging

Before taking action, make sure you have:

1. **A Seed Idea in the Capturing state:** Open the `#seed` node you just extracted from the Capture Station in your **Digital Brain**.
2. **A specific problem to solve:** Be clear on what pain point this solution solves for your target customer.
3. **Ready tools:** Have your Digital Brain workspace open to build your outline, along with a research tab (like NotebookLM or AI chat) if you need to look up external data.

***

## Step 1 — Outline the Solution

The goal of this step is to **lock down your outline** before researching or writing details:

1. **Define the customer outcome:** Clearly state what practical result your reader will achieve after reading this asset.
2. **Establish the core message and main points:**
   * If you have domain experience: Quickly jot down 3–4 main points using your personal lived experience.
   * If you are just starting out: Ask your AI assistant for a few structural frameworks, but **pick exactly one** and commit to it.
3. **Keep the outline intact:** Rephrase the points into your own everyday words so they are simple and easy to understand. Once decided, **do not change your outline**, preventing scope creep in later steps.

***

## Step 2 — Expand the Content

With your outline locked in, gather supporting information to clarify each point and verify that your advice holds up in reality:

1. **Gather external context when needed:**
   * Use NotebookLM as a temporary scratchpad to read documents, study competitors, and cross-reference audience needs.
   * Run search queries to fill in missing statistics or supporting evidence.
   * Record quick audio thoughts directly in your workspace to capture fresh arguments as they appear.
2. **Review and fill knowledge gaps:**
   * Use your real-world experience to filter information: keep what works, cut what is unproven or confusing.
   * Insert solid proof into each section of your chosen outline.
3. **Know when to stop:**
   * Only research points inside your locked outline. Never let new findings derail your original structure.
   * **When to walk away:** If you realize this idea doesn't truly help your audience, or takes too much effort for too little return, **archive it immediately** and move to another seed idea.

***

## Step 3 — Create Deliverables

This step finalizes your content at the Package Station before moving the seed into the Sharing state. Everything you create splits into two clear parts:

### 1. The Core Asset

This is the single most accurate and complete version of your work, serving as your foundation of truth.

* It is your intellectual property, carefully maintained and published on your website as the definitive guide.
* **Protection rule:** Never edit this core asset on a whim when writing quick social posts. Only update it when releasing a major version upgrade.

### 2. Creative Nodes

These are modular child drafts created inside the **Attachments** field of your Seed Idea, prepared for social distribution.

* **Translate for simplicity:** Rewrite technical concepts from your Core Asset into conversational language that anyone can understand instantly.
* **Test multiple formats:** From one Core Asset, spin off short social posts, video scripts, or email newsletters. You can freely rewrite, test, or delete these Creative Nodes without risking damage to your Core Asset.

***

## Results and Next Steps

By completing these 3 steps, your work at the Package Station is complete:

* You own a **rock-solid Core Asset** published as authoritative content on your website.
* You have ready-to-use **Creative Nodes** written in plain language under your Attachments.

Now, change the seed status to **Sharing**. The system will **automatically move the seed to the Share Station** — where you publish creative assets, gather audience feedback, close sales, and officially elevate your content to the **Validated state**.

> Your seed idea is ready in the Sharing state. Distribute it across channels and gather real feedback.
