    • Fills and links the Author field (connecting to #contact).

4 Steps to Trigger AI Autofill in Practice

Create a data node with an accurate title

To help AI query the correct entity, write the name clearly:
  • Open your Today page or navigate to your Bookshelf.
  • Create a new line and enter the title (for example: Atomic Habits or Deep Work).

Apply the tag to trigger background Autofill

  • Type #book and press Enter.
  • Applying the tag triggers background retrieval from the AI model.
  • Within 2 to 3 seconds, the Author, Summary, and Category fields populate automatically.

Trigger Autofill on dependent fields

Certain advanced fields (like Famous Quotes) require the author and book context established first:
  • Hover over the Famous Quotes field.
  • Click the sparkle star icon next to the field.
  • AI uses the populated title and author to extract 2 to 3 iconic quotes from the text.

Review and finalize your profile

  • Verify that the author’s name links to their #contact card in your directory.
  • Update your Reading Status (Reading, To Read, or Finished).
  • Paste a book cover image link into the Cover Image field to keep your visual bookshelf polished.

Include subtitles for clarity

For books with multiple editions or generic titles, append the subtitle (for example: Thinking, Fast and Slow: Two Systems of Thought) so AI hits a 100% accurate match.

Personalize with your own voice

AI summaries provide a helpful head start. Click into the Summary field to add personal reactions and reflections anytime.
